Senior Portfolio Manager, BNP Paribas
Sanj Bhayro joined Google Cloud in March, where he now oversees operations and customer growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, where he studied politics and sociology, and then the prestigious IMD Business School, in Switzerland, Bhayro spent 15 years rising through the ranks at Salesforce before being poached by Google earlier this year.
Today, he is focused on helping his new firm build the scale required to support fast-growing demand for its Cloud service across the EMEA region.
In just three months he’s helped drive major partnerships with Orange, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, and Deutsche Bank, the last of which recently announced a major 10-year cloud partnership with Google.
"Our job as leaders is to serve by listening, showing empathy, and developing talent,” he tells Business Insider. “It's incredibly important to build a diverse, inclusive workforce that is reflective of our customers, partners, and communities.
"I enjoy working with smart, creative people to build successful teams with a strong sense of purpose, and building a business that will scale to support the growth in EMEA, as we support our customers to transform and innovate.”
