E.ON chief procurement officer Claudia Viohl has played a crucial role in steering the energy supplier’s supply-chain professionals on its "cleaner and better" business strategy. E.ON is a member of the United Nations Global Compact Network and has committed to achieving an outstanding level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in all its business activities through its responsible-procurement policy.
Viohl has had a range of responsibilities in accounting and controlling, later taking the role of Head of Corporate Office in E.ON SE. In 2012 she moved as an Executive to the Group Function Procurement/Supply Chain. also serves as a member of the supervisory boards of E.DIS AG (Fürstenwalde) and E.ON Deutschland GmbH (Munich). In her procurement role she established the "governance and performance" areas and led transformation and performance programs.
In 2019, E.ON completed a takeover of energy company Innogy, making the new E.ON one of Europe’s largest energy network operators providing for around 50 million customers across 750 buyers. She told Business Insider: “I am excited to be part of the E.ON vision to create an energy community and ultimately help drive the energy transition towards a more sustainable future.
